About
My story, in plain words. First and foremost, I work with people — carefully, calmly, and with accurate records.
I am Akash Thattanparambil Raju. I came to New Zealand to complete a Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain & Logistics at Ara Institute of Canterbury. From there I took on kitchen and front-office work at Distinction Hotel in Christchurch, then moved into caregiving — first in Nelson, then back in Christchurch — and into support work with IDEA Services and Te Whare Ngakau Trust.
Each role taught me how to listen carefully, keep accurate records, stay calm under pressure, and help people take the next practical step. That is the thread that runs through everything I do.
I am currently working as a Case Manager in Kaikōura at Work and Income. Longer term, I want to work as an Employment Case Manager and grow into leadership.
What matters in my work
People first — dignity, clear communication, practical next steps.
Accurate records — compliant notes, careful file work, follow-through.
Steady under pressure — calm decisions when priorities shift.
